Founded in 2009, KTO Karatay University draws its strength from the dynamic structure of the Konya Chamber of Commerce, which has over 20,000 members, and its inspiration from the historical Karatay Madrasa, established in 1251. Adopting the principle of raising well-equipped, visionary youth to meet the needs of the city, region, and country, our university offers an innovative educational model intertwined with the business world and industry, seamlessly combining theory with practice.
We shape academic life with more than 90 programs. These include well-established faculties such as Medicine and Law, alongside exceptional departments tailored to today's strategic needs, including Pilot Training, Islamic Economics and Finance, Energy Management, Communication Design, Insurance and Social Security, and International Trade and Logistics. Through the dedicated efforts of our more than 400 expert academics and 300 administrative staff, we offer a campus experience at international standards to approximately 9,000 students.
While preparing our students directly for professional life through our Industry Advisory program, we also bring the dynamics of a globalizing world to our campus. We provide a multicultural and universal educational environment with our 5% international student ratio—well above the Turkish average—and nearly 900 international students; thereby introducing our graduates to the sector as individuals ready not only for local targets but also for international mobility and global success.
